The NaBWIG team organized two stakeholder workshops on historic and future adaptive pathways in the Olkeriai river basin.
The goals of the workshop were (1) to build an understanding of the historic pathways taken by different groups in response to risks and opportunities faced by the communities and, (2) to discuss perceptions of future risks, opportunities and desired investment pathways.
Participants included community leaders, women group leaders, youth leaders, local farmers, livestock keepers and sand-loaders.
The first workshop was conducted in Mashuru-Imaroro (Kajiado) on Sept 30 and Oct 1, 2021. This was followed by a second workshop in the Eselenkei Group Ranch (Kajiado) on Oct 5, 2021.
